If You Give A Mouse A Cookie . . .

he might want to know how many chocolate chips are in it!

After reading Laura Numeroff's book, we used our 5 senses to make observations about our cookie.

We estimated the number of chips we thought might be in a chocolate chip cookie.

That's The Way The Cookie Crumbles!

We came up with some pretty creative ways to find out exactly how many chips were in each cookie.

Cookies and Milk, Anyone?

Do you like to dunk your cookies into a cold glass of milk? Well, we experimented to see what would happen if we soaked a cookie in a glass of water. Did that make it easier to count the chips?

If You Take A Mouse to School . . .

Words from the story were written on sentence strips, cut apart and put into lunchbags. Children had fun unscrambling and writing the words.

If You Read a Laura Numeroff Book . . .

You will want to read it again and again. We read her books throughout the week. We wrote nouns from each book on strips of paper. We sorted the nouns by which book they were a part of - a great review of the books we had read!

Students voted on their favorite Laura Numeroff book. We made a graph of our class vote. Our class favorite Laura Numeroff book . . .

If You Give A Pig A Pancake!

We had fun with MOUSE TALES!

We learned about maps in Social Studies as we made a map of our classroom. Students then drew their own maps of the classroom.
