Ladybug Observations

Children can easily observe ladybugs in magnifying boxes or in clear plastic tubes.

Pieces of tubing cut into short lengths with tuelle netting banded on each end also makes a handy container for observing and experimenting with ladybugs.

The children "ooohed" and "ahhhed" as they learned about research using the internet at the computer lab during a great lesson designed by Mrs. Syler. She created a ladybug webite geared to the first graders. A follow up data sheet allowed the students to record their findings - terrific assessment!
