Families (and their cameras) are welcome to come and watch!

First graders are asked to make a stick horse at home to use in the rodeo events. Broom sticks, mop handles, fabric, socks, paper bags paper, boxes, etc . . . can be used to create a stick horse. Make sure the head and features are securely fastened to the stick. Horses will be used to practice rodeo events and for events on Friday. Please send stick horses with your child by Monday, April 16, 2001.

On RODEO DAY:

Your child should dress in comfortable play clothes, suitable for racing. Long pants and tennis shoes are suggested. Children should not wear sandals, flip flops, dress shoes or boots (What's a rodeo without boots? A safer one!)

Children will need to bring a sack lunch and a drink on Friday, the day of the rodeo. We will enjoy a picnic lunch outside after the rodeo. You might consider sending a water bottle with your child, especially if it is a hot day.
